About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join our vibrant and fun primary school community in Slough. As a proactive and emotionally intelligent educator, you will play a crucial role in driving attainment and creating engaging lessons for our hardworking, caring, inquisitive, and imaginative pupils.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking all duties required of a qualified teacher, including lesson planning, delivery, and assessment.
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil results and progress, ensuring appropriate records have been kept.
  • Contributing to the effective deployment of support staff and resources within the class.
  • Playing a full part in the life of the school community, supporting the ethos of the school and encouraging staff, parents, and pupils to do likewise.
  • Complying with school policies and procedures in areas such as assessment, marking, behaviour management, EAL, SEN, cover, induction, planning, staff meetings, and parental events.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
  • An Enhanced DBS Certificate.
  • Successful experience in teaching the primary curriculum.
  • Good subject knowledge of core National Curriculum subjects.
  • Proactive and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good primary subject knowledge.
