Job Title: Senior IT Consultant - Infrastructure Services

Job Location: 222 Jarvis Street (Hybrid Position, 3 days in-office)

Job Duration: Long-term

Job Description:

Deliverables: Infrastructure Services, Process Optimization, SSL, and ITIL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Change Request creation, monitoring, follow-up, closure, and reporting.
  • Provide guidance, training, and technical expertise to junior staff.
  • Engage internal or external service provider resources to resolve issues and support DCO service delivery.
  • Guide, monitor, and coordinate work conducted by internal and external service providers, ensuring mitigation of adverse impact.
  • Document and implement infrastructure Change Requests.
  • Update incident reporting, identify and mitigate risks to the infrastructure, and update the Configuration Management Database.
  • Making changes and recommendations for enhancing server infrastructure, decommissioning hardware, and coordinating disposal.
  • SSL/TLS certificate signing and reporting.
  • Support maintaining and updating Application Portfolio Management solution Cis.

1. ITIL Management (30%):

  • Demonstrated experience building and managing change requests.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing a Configuration Management Database.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ITIL concepts and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Corporate Change, Incident, Problem, and Release Management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Datacentre Protocols and Procedures Guides and working in an Uptime Certified Tier IV & Tier II Datacentre.

2. Documentation and Communication (20%):

  • Demonstrated knowledge of engaging internal or external service provider resources to resolve issues and mitigate support failure and interruption to Datacentre operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of guiding, monitoring, and coordinating work conducted by internal and external service providers, ensuring mitigation of adverse impact.
  • Demonstrated ability for strong documentation and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of providing incident resolution.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engaging vendors to address incidents/issues.
  • Demonstrated ability of working with and supporting multiple technical teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in using Office 365 Remedy/eSMT ticketing system.

3. Technical Knowledge (10%):

  • Demonstrated knowledge of building IT infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of working with and supporting multiple technical teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of VCentre, VMware, and building and maintaining virtual servers.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of building and supporting servers of Windows, Solaris, AIX.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of networking installation, supporting, and configuring network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of building and supporting backup infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of installing, configuring, and supporting SAN and Tape Library Infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of server installation and configuration and loading of the Operating System, including virtual servers.

4. Certificate Support (10%):

  • Demonstrated experience in SSL/TLS certificate signing and support.

MUST HAVE:

  • 5 years of experience with ITIL Change Management.
  • SSL/TLS certificate is required.
