Sinara is a well-established software house in London providing software development services and products to exchanges, financial institutions, and market data vendors. We combine strong technical expertise with a pragmatic approach to deliver business-critical IT systems.

The role involves working on project-by-project basis with the Test Manager and Project Managers to ensure successful testing and delivery of software projects. Your responsibilities include writing test scripts, executing manual and automated test scripts, providing feedback to the Test Manager and development teams, and using Jira for issue tracking and development planning.

You will also provide technical expertise to the team, help ensure appropriate testing techniques are used, and identify, track, report, and resolve test risks and issues. To be successful in this role, you must be able to work in a closely-knit team, be self-motivated, and use your initiative to think about the bigger picture and wider implications of software projects.

You're a practical and inquisitive person with an enthusiasm for technology and finance, and a desire to understand the business drivers behind our solutions. You possess a proactive hands-on approach and the ability to meet project deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Some of the key skills and qualifications required for this role include:

  • At least one year of experience working in a software testing role for a company developing a range of software applications.
  • Experience in most of the following areas: working in a test-oriented development environment, writing detailed test specifications and plans, maintaining project and testing standards documentation, working in a project-based bespoke software development environment, knowledge of iterative and agile software development methodologies, and working in a Windows-based development environment.
  • Experience in automated testing tools, trading and finance industry knowledge, automation test tools, test tools, security and pen testing, specifying, building, and deploying testing environments, working in a software product development environment, client-facing experience, implementing DevOps for continuous test and integration, and working in a Linux-based environment would be beneficial.
