About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Specialist Nurse to lead our multi-disciplinary team in providing high-quality care to families affected by neonatal loss. The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background in neonatal care and excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the multi-disciplinary team in providing specialized care to families affected by neonatal loss
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff on neonatal bereavement care
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to medical and nursing staff on physical, psychological, and administrative aspects of neonatal bereavement
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with medical examiner, chaplains, bereavement nurse, mortuary officer, neonatal pathologist, histology, and staff at the University Hospital of Wales site mortuary
  • Provide specialist advice to doctors and nurses on specific aspects of bereavement care
  • Be available to provide practical support and help to members of staff at all levels
  • Ensure that the University Health Board's arrangements for responding to the religious and cultural needs of families are met

Requirements
  • Nursing degree
