Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Project Delivery team at North Lanarkshire Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering a wide range of infrastructure and transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of infrastructure and transportation projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies to maximize resources and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate with civil engineering contractors, consultants, and partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Assist in the implementation of bridge improvements and maintenance, public transport infrastructure, reservoir maintenance, and flood prevention schemes.
  • Contribute to the Council's development management processes to help deliver The Plan for North Lanarkshire and achieve best value.

Requirements

  • HNC or relevant discipline in Civil Engineering or similar.
  • Experience in managing the delivery of design and civil engineering related construction projects.
  • Knowledge of NEC contract management and ability to develop successful working relationships with contractors and professional service providers.
  • Excellent organisational and IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with ability to analyse information and produce reports.
  • Ability to present information in public forums and work effectively in a team environment.

Working Arrangements

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:45am to 4:45pm (55-minute unpaid lunch break)
  • Friday: 8:45am to 4:15pm (50-minute unpaid lunch break)
