Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Tarver Dialysis Unit and Acute Dialysis Team for a Unit Manager post. The Tarver Unit is a bedded area that cares for patients with kidney failure and receives Haemodialysis. Patients attend the unit three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The Unit is open from 8am until 6pm, Monday to Saturday. It is closed on Sundays, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. The Unit also has a bedded side room where patients and their families are trained for Home Haemodialysis, enabling them to perform their treatment independently at home.

Main Duties
  1. Manage staff, provide clinical support to patients, oversee budgetary matters, and ensure good knowledge of clinical governance and complaints policy.
  2. Communicate with patients, promote Home Haemodialysis, and encourage patient independence.
  3. Act as a role model, attend relevant courses, and develop management and leadership skills.
