We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project Controls Engineer to join our Defence team. As a Senior Project Controls Engineer - Planning, you'll play a key role in delivering complex projects and programmes.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Defence team in the South East. The role will operate on a hybrid working routine, with time expected in our office and a minimum of two days per week on our client sites.

You'll work closely with our project teams to provide performance reporting and analysis support. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Creating and maintaining project schedules that support and align with project requirements.
  2. Developing the project schedules in conjunction with the project manager and project team.
  3. Interacting with project team to define scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from original plan.
  4. Evaluating project schedule progress and performance and identifying developing problem areas.
  5. Assisting project managers to maintain timely and effective change management processes and procedures.
  6. Ensuring adherence to NEC or FIDIC contract processes for management of schedule data and submissions.
Key Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate will have:

  1. A qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with some experience in a project control environment.
  2. Experience of working in project or programme management environment, with responsibility for delivery or controls of individual projects, programmes or portfolios.
  3. Experience using controls/ general software applications such as Primavera (P6), Power BI, Microsoft Office Applications.
  4. Demonstrated understanding of Project Controls concepts.
  5. Knowledge and Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications such as Primavera (P6) and/or other planning and resourcing software.
