Financial Graphics Editor

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Graphics Editor to lead our team of graphics reporters in analyzing and transforming data on companies, economics, and markets into clear, accurate, and compelling visual/graphical representations for use on LSEG platforms and other Reuters endpoints.

About the Role
  • Lead a team focused on creating daily breaking news graphics across markets, economics, and companies beats
  • Determine lines of coverage for the team in conjunction with our financial news reporters as well as the wider graphics team
  • Manage workflows and processes for seamless integration of this content across platforms
  • Generate story and graphics ideas from the financial and business news of the day, creating, assigning, and editing these pieces as necessary
  • Identify and report out bespoke or interesting data sets
About You
  • Have a proven ability to work with complex financial data in a newsroom setting and transform that data into compelling on-the-news graphics
  • Have a proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, mapmaking software such as QGIS, programmatic data manipulation and charting skills in languages such as R or Python, and front-end web development skills as well as Datawrapper, Flourish, Tableau, or similar off-the-shelf chart-creating tools
  • Have a journalism degree or equivalent newsroom work experience
