About the Company

Cityscape is a leading name within the demolition and civil engineering industry with exciting plans in place for growth. Based in Kent, they operate throughout the South East, undertaking projects valued up to £7M and their services include asbestos removal, temporary works, demolition, remediation, earthworks and groundwork's.

About the Opportunity

Due to a healthy order book, there is a need for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the Senior Quantity Surveyor in the successful commercial and financial management of projects and tenders within the groundworks and demolition sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the prompt presentation for all applications for payment and Final Accounts, including all contractual entitlements
  • Ensuring that all payments are received in accordance with the contract terms
  • Assisting in the preparation and presentation of monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR) and final cost/value forecasts
  • Procurement, negotiation and the placing of sub-contract orders
  • Financial and commercial management of sub-contracts through settlement of Final Accounts
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar
  • Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience
  • Experience gained whilst working for a main contractor or specialist subcontractor in the UK who specialise in demolition, substructure or general civil engineering
About the Benefits and Rewards

Cityscape offers a strong basic salary of £35,000 to £45,000 per annum (specifics will depend on how much experience gained) in addition to the usual benefits associated with a large, successful contractor.
