Senior Flood Risk Consultant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join our Water Environment team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading flood risk assessments and hydrological and hydraulic modelling projects, while mentoring and developing other consultants in the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead flood risk assessments and hydrological and hydraulic modelling projects
  • Mentor and develop other consultants in the business
  • Develop relationships with clients and regulators
  • Manage project finances and prepare fee proposals
  • Work in a design office environment and participate in design and site meetings, site inspections, and progress reporting
  • Communicate effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities
Requirements:
  • Strong Bachelor's degree and possibly a higher degree in a water-related subject
  • Substantial experience in flood risk assessments and hydrological and hydraulic modelling
  • Good understanding of the Environment Agency and Lead Local Flood Authorities
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current planning policies and procedures
  • High motivation for this opportunity
  • Self-motivated team player with exceptional people skills
