Job Description

The role involves direct interaction with customers and close collaboration with other members of the development team, including suppliers and representatives from engineering departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Authoring and executing End of Line (EOL) tests and sequences at the EOL system of the vehicle manufacturer.
  • On-site testing and deployment of EOL diagnostic hardware and software.
  • Reporting and documenting test results.
  • Verification and testing of EOL test sequences in the office and on-site.
  • Preparing and participating in plant vehicle launches of EOL test systems.
  • Resolving issues on-site with minimal or no assistance from other resources.
  • Creating and providing customer documentation and training.
  • Preparing user requirement documentation.
  • Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working with customer systems, creating and managing change requests for upcoming software deployments.
  • Managing tasks using JIRA.
  • Installation of EOL Runtime to QA and production servers, supporting customers migrating to newer operating systems and SQL database servers.
  • Setting up and configuring plant-specific networks (tester/server) for validation testing.
  • Setting up, testing, and validating server plant management web-based tools (QBay and SiteBay plus additional web deployment mechanisms).
  • Running SQL scripts (stored procedures and schema upgrades) against SQL databases.
  • Creating and updating validation test documentation.
  • Participating in QA and production release reviews.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 7 32/64-bit, Windows 10 32/64-bit.
  • Working knowledge of VMWARE and Virtual Box applications tools (used to create new test environment platforms).
  • Understanding of Windows background services.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Windows networking (TCP/IP and DHCP).
  • Knowledge and understanding of vehicle diagnostics (at least one automotive diagnostic protocol such as KWP2000, ISO14230, ISO15765, J1939, ISO14229, and ISO13400).
  • Knowledge of Wireshark and CAN logs (DoIP and CAN).
  • Knowledge and understanding of electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to fault-find and debug issues raised.
  • Ability to set up, manage, and plan own workload.
Desirable Qualifications
  • An in-depth understanding of OEM requirements and diagnostics of ECU configurations (example: ECU software download, configuration).
  • Knowledge of ODX and OTX.
  • Microsoft SQL Server knowledge.
  • XML file knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA.
  • Knowledge of using the Bosch vehicle model VSI simulator tool.
  • Use of VCATS applications (in-house monitor tools) and open-source WireShark applications.
