About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Coding Data Quality Manager to join our team at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of clinically coded data, working closely with colleagues and senior clinicians to improve clinical documentation and data management.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement best practice systems and processes to ensure timely and high-quality coded data across the Trust.
  • Plan and undertake audits, develop action plans, and implement monitoring against targets for improving the depth and quality of clinically coded data.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of clinical coding standards, rules, and conventions.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Coding Team to ensure accurate and timely coding of patient data.
  • Provide feedback to the Clinical Coding Team on the analysis of clinically coded data to improve accuracy and quality.
Requirements
  • Accredited Clinical Coding Qualification.
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or relevant significant equivalent previous proven experience.
  • Attendance at Clinical Coding Refresher course in the last 3 years.
  • Proven skills in using window-based packages, Excel, and keyboard skills.
Desirable
  • Approved Clinical Coding Auditor.
