Clinical Coding Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Coding Team Leader to join our team at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Clinical Coding Service, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of clinical coded data, which is essential for securing Trust income under National Tariff.
Main Responsibilities- Coordinate and line manage a portfolio of specialties-based Clinical Coding Teams to ensure coding is completed to strict monthly deadlines and set data quality standards.
- Act as a lead and specialty advanced Clinical Coder within the Clinical Coding Team and beyond, providing clinical coding advice to the Business.
- Deputise for the Clinical Coding Service Manager, Assistant Clinical Coding Manager, Team Leaders, and other management roles, both within the Trust and externally when required.
- Undertake direct complex clinical coding workload to maintain Advanced Clinical Coder status and expertise.
- Conduct complex internal clinical coding audits for specialties and team members covered within their area of responsibility.
