Clinical Coding Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Coding Team Leader to join our team at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Clinical Coding Service, you will be responsible for leading a portfolio of specialties-based Clinical Coding Teams to ensure coding is completed to strict monthly deadlines and to set data quality standards.
Main Responsibilities- Coordinate and line manage Clinical Coding Teams to achieve coding deadlines and data quality standards.
- Act as a lead and specialty advanced Clinical Coder within the Clinical Coding Team and beyond, providing clinical coding advice to the business.
- Deputise for the Clinical Coding Service Manager, Assistant Clinical Coding Manager, and other management roles as required.
- Undertake direct complex clinical coding workload to maintain Advanced Clinical Coder status and expertise.
- Conduct complex internal clinical coding audits for specialties and team members covered within their area of responsibility.

Person Specification- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience.
- ACC qualification and completion of the National Clinical Coding Refresher Course.
- Significant experience of working as a Clinical Coder, with supervisory experience or a willingness to undertake a management programme.
