Job Overview

SmartPro, a global brand, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their team in Swansea. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery, support equipment, building systems, and other site infrastructure to ensure optimal operating conditions and plant productivity.

The ideal candidate will have extensive maintenance experience in the manufacturing sector and hold relevant industry qualifications. They should possess solid mechanical knowledge to understand complex assembly processes and be able to read and interpret blueprints, maintenance manuals, schematics, and drawings.

This is a 5-shift pattern position with 12-hour shifts, including days and nights. The estimated salary for this role is around £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of assigned plant equipment, machinery, and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair various production machinery and equipment, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and parts.
  • Install, modify, and relocate machinery and equipment, as well as perform fabrication, welding, mechanical, electrical, electronics, or other maintenance skills.
  • Repair and modify plant systems as required.
  • Respond to emergency requests for repairs/replacements.
