Job Summary: We are seeking an Administrative Coordinator to join our busy ED department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to our staff and patients.

Main Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for dealing with day-to-day correspondence, initiating appropriate responses to provide patients, staff, and other parties with required information in a friendly and professional manner. This will include receiving telephone calls, accepting messages on behalf of members of the specialty team, taking appropriate action where necessary, and gathering and coordinating patient information so it is accessible in a timely manner. You will also produce copies for appropriate agencies, file them correctly, and ensure follow-up arrangements are in place. Furthermore, you will list outstanding investigations on the hospital database system and process urgent referrals, arranging appropriate outpatient appointments as needed.

Requirements:

  • A good standard of general education (NVQ 2 or equivalent experience) is essential for this role.
  • You should have excellent organisational and communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks within defined timescales, experience in a reception role, IT skills, and competence in dealing with the general public.

Salary: The salary for this position is estimated to be around £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
