We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at AWP (Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust). As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality mental health services to our patients.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with mental health conditions, including those with complex needs. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and treat patients with mental health conditions, including those with complex needs
- Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to our patients
- Supervise and support junior medical staff
- Participate in peer supervision and clinical governance activities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health services
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- Relevant Higher Degree (e.g. MD, PhD, MSc) or other additional clinical qualifications
- MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of gaining CCT
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
- CCT in General Adult Psychiatry
