Renal Counsellor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Renal Counsellor to join our team at Cambridge University Hospitals. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert psychotherapeutic services to patients with renal conditions.
Main Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop tailored care plans
- Provide short, medium, and long-term counselling services to patients and their families
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Develop and deliver training programs for healthcare staff
- Recognised professional qualification in psychological therapy
- Accredited practitioner status with a registered body
- Postgraduate qualification in counselling or psychotherapy/psychology
- Significant practice experience as a Counsellor or Psychotherapist
- Recent experience in working therapeutically with patients with chronic/long-term conditions
- Knowledge of organisational and group dynamics
- Knowledge of case work supervisory methods/approaches
- Knowledge of legislation in relation to patient groups and mental health
- Understanding of GDPR
