We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our esteemed team at the Portland Hospital for Women & Children. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a dedicated paediatric nurse who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist knowledge, advice, clinical skills, and expertise in the treatment and management of children with skin conditions and birthmarks. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and support to patients and their families.

  • Provide expert guidance and ongoing support to nursing teams involved in the care of infants, children, and young people diagnosed with or undergoing investigations or treatment for birthmarks/skin conditions.
  • Lead and participate in coordinating all aspects of patient care, maintaining the best interest of the child and family at all times.
  • Act as an advocate for every child and young person attending the hospital for either investigations and/or procedures for dermatology treatment.
  • Develop and implement patient clinical pathways for all infants, children, and young people attending the hospital for investigation and treatment of skin conditions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Children's Nursing Qualification – RN Child or RSCN with valid NMC registration.
  • Basic/Intermediate Paediatric Life Support.
