Job Title: Achievement Tutor

About the Role:

The Manchester College is seeking an experienced Achievement Tutor to join our Automotive Construction Engineering and Logistics Department at our Openshaw Campus. As an Achievement Tutor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the academic, pastoral, social, and behavioural progress of students is tracked and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage allocated students/groups and deliver a highly effective tutorial and pastoral programme.
  • Work closely with the Head of Department to ensure students achieve outstanding retention, achievement, progress, and progression outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students' academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve student outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Certificate of education or PGCE.
  • Current and valid industry specialism.
  • Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation).
  • Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification.
  • English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above.
