Job Title: IT Configuration Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IT Configuration Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As an IT Configuration Engineer, you will play a key role in defining the strategic vision for the Architecture of the SSNA Programme and providing key interface between functional capability delivery to develop and optimize (People Process Tools), ensuring SSNA programme requirements are aligned and fed in.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in defining strategic vision for the Architecture of the SSNA Programme
  • Provide key interface between functional capability delivery to develop and optimize (People Process Tools), ensuring SSNA programme requirements are aligned and fed in
  • Input and advise the SSNA Programme Architecture Authority Forum
  • Work closely with SSNA and IM&T Solution Architects, and business analysts, to ensure IM&T input and output data is correct and meets the needs of the Engineering life cycle
  • Support IM&T Project methodologies and approach (i.e. NXGen Digital and SSNA systems)
  • Maintain overview of wider business system improvements
Requirements:
  • Deep understanding of design toolset CAD PLM Teamcenter NX
  • Background in data management principles including creating data structures and support capabilities, developing data models
  • Good understanding of the whole Engineering Lifecycle
Desirable:
  • Experience of the engineering manufacturing industry
  • Degree level qualifications or extensive subs knowledge
