Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects and services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Assurance and Control: Provide assurance that effective quality management systems are established and implemented, meeting stakeholder requirements and enabling delivery to meet customer specifications.
- Quality Culture Enhancement: Enhance the quality culture by engaging with relevant stakeholders, delivering appropriate levels of communication, briefs, and visits to increase understanding and importance of establishing a successful quality culture.
- Nuclear Safety Education: Assist in the delivery of the appropriate Nuclear Safety Education Package where required.
- Product Verification: Provide confirmation that products/outputs/deliverables meet specified requirements through certification and/or verification of inputs, processes, and/or outputs, and ensure the rejection of non-conforming materials, products, or services.
- Quality Assurance and Control Programme: Establish and implement an appropriate Quality Assurance and Quality Control programme that supports the delivery of local objectives and incorporates a graded approach to inspection and testing, based on nuclear safety risk, to enable the most efficient use of resources.
- Risk-Based Assurance: Develop and implement an effective risk-based assurance plan (both internal and supply chain) and provide assurance with regard to the ability of suppliers to meet SL & PPP specified requirements.
- Quality Issue Escalation: Escalate quality issues to the Senior Quality Manager in the first instance and/or the PPP/SL Head of Quality.
- Inspections, Audits, and Investigations: Lead and undertake inspections, audits, and investigations where required, reporting and implementing lessons learned and improvements.
- Key Performance Indicators: Develop, implement, and report Key Performance Indicators that effectively demonstrate the quality of delivery performance in their area of responsibility, in order to identify deviations and opportunities for continuous improvement and demonstrate the success/effectiveness of improvement programmes.
- Improvement Plans: Identify and, where appropriate, implement improvement plans in order to deliver sustained improvement in performance.
- Compliance and Coaching: Ensure compliance with internal processes and systems and provide coaching where appropriate to achieve 'right first time'.
- Project Quality Plans: Ensure that project Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans are developed to deliver the client requirements.
- Project Start-up Meetings: Contribute to and be involved in project start-up meetings, subcontractor pre-contract and pre-start meetings.
- Liaison with Customers: Liaise with customer personnel on matters of quality and promote best practice solutions.
- Internal and External Audits: Lead and support the business during internal & external audits.
- Teamwork and Communication: Be supportive of a team-work approach to encourage cooperative working by being open and honest, constructively challenge and intervene where quality is being compromised, and monitor and manage adherence to the Project Quality Strategy.
- Supplier Quality Management: Provide assurance that SL & PPP quality requirements are clearly communicated to suppliers, and that suppliers are delivering to our specifications, including testing that relevant specification requirements are cascaded and disseminated to appropriate levels within the supply chain.
- Supply Chain Quality Culture: Enhance the supply chain quality culture via engagement and delivery of communications, briefs, and regular visits.
- Contract Opening and Technical Review Meetings: Attend and contribute to all agreed Contract Opening and Technical Review meetings and review of the associated Contractor/s and where required lower-tier sub-contractors management system arrangements.

Future opportunities within our Infrastructure Strategic Alliance (ISA). The ISA provides Sellafield Ltd with the capability and capacity to deliver a growing programme of infrastructure projects required for an aging asset portfolio. The alliance is mainly aimed at protecting and developing the utility assets; however, it also has scope for a number of non-utility asset projects as well.
A diverse and growing portfolio with our Clyde Commercial Framework (CCF). The CCF programme ensures that the teams responsible for delivering the UK's Continuous at Sea Deterrent (CASD) are able to live, work, and train in safe, state-of-the-art facilities. The framework delivers cost-effective infrastructure solutions to enable HMNB Clyde to continue to endure in its new role as the Royal Navy's Single Integrated Operating Base.
