Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Quality Manager to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will assist and support the Senior Quality Manager in ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring and reporting on quality KPI metrics, leading quality assurance and control activities, and developing and implementing quality best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assurance that effective quality management systems are established and implemented to meet stakeholder requirements and customer specifications.
- Enhance the quality culture by engaging with stakeholders, delivering communications, and conducting site visits to increase understanding and importance of establishing a successful quality culture.
- Assist in the delivery of the Nuclear Safety Education Package where required.
- Provide confirmation that products and deliverables meet specified requirements through certification and/or verification of inputs, processes, and outputs.
- Establish and implement an effective Quality Assurance and Quality Control programme that supports the delivery of local objectives and incorporates a graded approach to inspection and testing.
- Develop and implement an effective risk-based assurance plan to provide assurance with regard to the ability of suppliers to meet SL and PPP specified requirements.
- Escalate quality issues to the Senior Quality Manager and/or the PPP/SL Head of Quality.
- Lead and undertake inspections, audits, and investigations, reporting and implementing lessons learned and improvements.
- Develop, implement, and report Key Performance Indicators to demonstrate the quality of delivery performance in your area of responsibility.
- Identify and implement improvement plans to deliver sustained improvement in performance.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and systems and provide coaching to achieve 'right first time'.
- Develop and implement project Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans to deliver client requirements.
- Contribute to and be involved in project start-up meetings, subcontractor pre-contract and pre-start meetings.
- Liaise with customer personnel on matters of quality and promote best practice solutions.
- Lead and support the business during internal and external audits.
- Be supportive of a team-work approach to encourage cooperative working by being open and honest.
- Constructively challenge and intervene where quality is being compromised.
- Monitor and manage adherence to the Project Quality Strategy.
- Provide assurance that SL and PPP quality requirements are clearly communicated to suppliers and that suppliers are delivering to our specifications.
- Enhance the supply chain quality culture via engagement and delivery of communications, briefs, and regular visits.
- Attend and contribute to all agreed Contract Opening up and Technical Review meetings and review of the associated Contractor/s and where required lower tier sub-contractors management system arrangements.

A 20-year partnership, PPP was established by Sellafield Ltd through contracts with Kellogg Brown and Root (KBR), Jacobs, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, and Doosan Babcock Ltd in 2019, to revolutionise project delivery at Sellafield and create a lasting legacy.
Future opportunities within our Infrastructure Strategic Alliance (ISA). The ISA provides Sellafield Ltd with the capability and capacity to deliver a growing programme of infrastructure projects required for an aging asset portfolio. The alliance is mainly aimed at protecting and developing the utility assets; however, it also has scope for a number of non-utility asset projects as well.
A diverse and growing portfolio with our Clyde Commercial Framework (CCF). The CCF programme ensures that the teams responsible for delivering the UK's Continuous at Sea Deterrent (CASD) are able to live, work, and train in safe, state-of-the-art facilities. The framework delivers cost-effective infrastructure solutions to enable HMNB Clyde to continue to endure in its new role as the Royal Navy's Single Integrated Operating Base.
