We are seeking an experienced Senior Conveyancer to enable the provision of a comprehensive legal service by managing a conveyancing caseload and overseeing the conveyancing provision, leading a 4-member team consisting of a Legal Consultant, two Conveyancers and a Legal Assistant.


The role reports to the Legal Services Manager and provides a unique opportunity to make a difference across a crucial service, ensuring compliance, standards of probity relating to the Group's charitable status and regulatory requirements.


You will be integral in implementing the Group's corporate policies particularly within health & Safety, Equal opportunities and Diversity, Risk management, Data protection and Asset renewal policies.


This is a hybrid role requiring your presence at Telford HQ one day a week. There is some travel involved within the Group's operational areas - Telford & Wrekin, Shropshire and Staffordshire.


You will be a Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor or CILEx Practitioner (or Chartered Legal Executive willing to work towards CILEx Practitioner), along with experience in all aspects of conveyancing on sale and purchase of dwellings.


Public housing law, Landlord and tenant law, Acquisition of development sites, Right to Buy/Right to Acquire. Previous experience with a social housing provider or a housing developer/builder is desirable.


Demonstrating initiative and resilience in order to achieve objectives, ability to risk assess situations, identify problems and offer appropriate solutions.
