About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Cartref Homes. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with mild intellectual disabilities, autism, and complex mental health conditions.

Our service users often struggle with interpersonal relationships, emotional regulation, and managing their daily life. As a Support Worker, you will be trained to help them promote their rights, express themselves, and undertake daily-life skills such as budgeting, shopping, and cooking.

You will also have the opportunity to engage with the wider community, attend appointments, and social occasions, and support our service users in making the best of their life through fun and laughter.

Requirements
  • Kindness and patience

  • Care Certificate (not essential)
  • Past experience of assisting people with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviour (preferable)
  • Full UK Driving Licence (preferred but not essential)
