Field Joint Coating Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Joint Coating Specialist to join our team at Simpson Booth Limited.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all field joint coating activities meet the required standards and specifications. This includes documenting and implementing procedures, coordinating with subcontractors, and providing technical support to clients.
Key Responsibilities- To provide technical ownership of coating scope of work, including document creation, contractual supplier management, and internal/external client interface for testing scopes.
- To ensure that required documentation for field joint coating activities are finalised to client satisfaction, on time, and to monitor the execution.
- To collect, implement, and extend know-how and experience for the purpose of improving customer service.
- To provide timely specialist field joint coating support for all phases of a project, technical liaison, and communications with subcontractor/vendor.
- NACE1 essential & NACE2 desirable.
- Science based academic qualifications to A-Level or B Tech standard.
- Bachelor's degree Nautical/Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
- Good practical and theoretical knowledge of pipeline installation techniques.
- Good practical knowledge of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality Systems.
- Proven years of relevant work experience.
- Experience of Engineering, Quality, Health & Safety, and Environment process and systems.
- Experience in an engineering/materials-based background.
- Change management experience with regards to process and procedure.
- A strong communicator when discussing and planning technical aspects.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Commercially aware.
- Good presentation and client-facing skills.
- Excellent all-round IT skills.
- Strong problem-solving acumen.
- Good technical report writing skills with the ability to import visuals, photos, and diagrams into reports.
An estimated annual salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
