About the Role

BAM Nuttall is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement controls.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure health and safety is integrated into project planning.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain health and safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure health and safety is integrated into business operations.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a construction environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of OHSAS 45001 standards and IOSH membership.
