Graduate Scheme OverviewThis graduate scheme is designed for recent engineering and sciences graduates, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and experience to thrive in the commercial shipping and data-driven industry. The immersive experience provides a deeper understanding of Signal's commercial operations, supervised by the SVP of Sales and rotating team leaders.
Program StructureThe graduate scheme is divided into four stages:
- Tanker Chartering Academy: Gain a foundational understanding of the commercial shipping industry, covering all aspects of the Commercial function, including introductory videos, live sessions, and quizzes.
- Tech Sales Academy: Develop strong commercial acumen, covering areas like landing new sales, onboarding new clients, client training, collections & invoicing, Salesforce, pricing lists, renewals & upselling.
- API Tech Sales tasks: Work alongside the data sales team to leverage Python SDKs and SQL to create valuable assets, developing case studies showcasing the power of Signal's APIs in tackling real-world challenges in the shipping industry.
- Customer Success: Immerse yourself in a fast-paced client success environment, directly addressing client inquiries across all aspects of Signal Group's products, honing communication and problem-solving skills while building a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points.
The graduate scheme utilizes a range of tools and technologies, including JIRA, Grafana, Confluence, Google Colab, PowerBI, and Azure Data Studio.
Minimum RequirementsTo be eligible for this graduate scheme, candidates must possess:
- A solid knowledge in Electrical and Computer Engineering
- Exceptional English communication skills (written and verbal)
- A genuine interest in the shipping and commodities industry, with a proactive and analytical mind
Upon successful completion of the graduate program, candidates will be offered a position within either the commercial or product team, depending on their aspirations, strengths, and the company's current business needs. The graduate scheme offers a generous compensation package, coverage under the company's collective health insurance plan, opportunities for career growth, and a structured development discussion every 4 months.
