Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Research Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our research department, you will play a vital role in the coordination and implementation of clinical trials, ensuring the highest standard of care for patients with complex needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with significant experience at Band 6 level. You will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with children, young people, and their families. Your leadership and management skills will enable you to inspire and motivate staff, driving positive change and improvement within the team.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical trial protocols, ensuring seamless integration with existing services
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to provide expert support and guidance on research-related matters
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver training programs, enhancing staff knowledge and confidence in research participation
  • Ensure accurate data collection and submission, adhering to study protocols and regulations
  • Promote and champion research across the trust, engaging stakeholders and influencing policy development
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need:

  • NMC Registered Nurse (Child) qualification
  • Relevant nursing degree and evidence of ongoing CPD
  • Significant post-registration experience, including Band 6 leadership roles
  • Proven track record in CTIMP/ATIMP clinical research and audit
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
