About the Role

This is a brand new role, created due to growth within the mental health team as we expand our service to patients. As our new Senior Mental Health Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to take the next step in your development and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the mental health team in the delivery of immediate and ongoing care for patients referred to the mental health team
  • Work with the nurses and nursing associates in mental health, assisting with bloods, observations, and other tasks
  • Help to run and promote mental health-focused patient groups, including patients with complex care needs
  • Support people to access care and treatment appropriately within the prison setting, working independently with lone working at times
