About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Manager to join our Group Accounting team at Howden Group Holdings. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Group with various financial tasks and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounting Papers and Advice: Project manage, prepare, and/or review accounting papers and/or advice for specific transactions that are complex in nature.
  • Accounting Policies and Chart of Accounts: Lead the update of existing accounting policies and development of new policies.
  • Group Wide Control: Assist with quarterly review of accounting for acquisitions.
  • Consolidated Group Accounts: Assist in preparing and reviewing sections of Group consolidated accounts.
  • Other: Establish a good working relationship with other teams.
Key Accountabilities
  • Accounting Papers Delivery: Project management is essential.
  • Pace of Accounting Policy Updates: Ensure timely updates to accounting policies.
  • Quality of Deliverables Presented: Ensure high-quality deliverables are presented to stakeholders.
  • Timeliness of Quarterly Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Ensure timely completion of quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Development of Relationships with Other Teams: Establish and maintain good working relationships with other teams.
Key Competencies
  • Great Working Knowledge of IFRS: Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Strong Project Management and Good Communication Skills: Ability to manage projects and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to Discuss Accounting Concepts with Non-Finance Staff: Ability to explain complex accounting concepts to non-finance staff.
