SEND Funding Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team at Venn Group as a SEND Funding Specialist. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in reviewing and improving the Local Authority's approach to funding specialist provision to deliver new Specialist places in mainstream settings to meet the needs of children and young people with SEND.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal staff and external stakeholders to identify issues with the current SEND financial system, develop and implement new processes, and deliver transformation to improve the model.
  • Analyze and develop the approach to funding specialist provision to ensure it is streamlined and accurately forecast.
  • Lead the development of joint commissioning opportunities working with commissioners and the SEND finance team.
  • Proactively identify areas of weak financial management, risks, and pressures and work with the relevant service to improve them.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Lead education client-side projects, ensuring timely delivery of non-cap projects.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of SEND funding and commissioning.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal staff and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in project management and client relationship management.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive rate of £550 per day.
  • An initial 12-month contract.
  • A full-time position with 2 days on-site per week.
