About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Specialist SEND Support. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting young learners with additional needs in a classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the behavior of pupils with additional needs, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • De-escalate behavioral concerns during lessons, adhering to safeguarding specifications and best practices.
  • Support students with their learning and additional requirements, promoting a growth mindset and confidence in their abilities.
  • Employ a non-judgmental approach to students' learning abilities, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere.
  • Aware of safeguarding practices and the importance of effective pastoral care, ensuring the well-being of all students.

Requirements:

  • Enthusiastic and proactive attitude towards the role, with a passion for educating young people.
  • Consistent and objective approach to pupils, both in and outside the classroom.
  • Knowledge and awareness of SEN needs and implemented academic adjustments, with a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Proven track record in similar roles or institutions, with the right to work in the UK.

All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
