About the Role

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, with a competitive daily rate of £95 per day. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who require additional support, and possess a strong understanding of behaviour management techniques. A Team Teach qualification is preferred, but not essential as training can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualised support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to manage their emotions, behaviour, and learning.
  • Implement tailored learning plans and strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional development.
  • Support students in managing behavioural challenges and de-escalating situations using evidence-based techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • A strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and experience working with children who have challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed when managing difficult situations or emotional outbursts.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable students.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, teachers, and other staff.
