Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Junior Software Developer to join our team as a Junior Implementation Engineer. As a Software Implementation Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our case management systems, working closely with our Management Team to implement best practices and ensure the delivery of quality recovery services.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Implement and maintain our case management and other software systems, following best practices and ensuring quality delivery.
  2. Work with our central IT Development team and act as project leader on Departmental development projects where required.
  3. Promote and monitor adherence to best practice standards and ensure that code is documented and easily understood by others.
  4. Provide guidance and support to other team members and work with them on project work to improve knowledge levels and gain experience of development changes.
  5. Work with the management team to analyse and recommend new software/systems to continuously develop the Department's systems' functionality, while remaining in accordance with the firm's IT Strategy and corporate standards.
  6. Adhere to agreed procedures regarding full testing of development work before live implementation.
  7. Document and present IT development initiatives to the firm or to clients as necessary.
  8. Ensure that technical issues are resolved as soon as possible, provide 3rd line support where necessary, and establish good communication channels with our 3rd party suppliers.
  9. Assist with improvement and maintenance of the Department's databases, including rollouts, upgrades, and troubleshooting database problems.
  10. Communicate effectively with the Recoveries Management Team, the IT Department, and users to ensure they meet the needs of the business and to ensure the overall awareness of development activities across the Department.

Information Security:

  • Ensure that information is handled in accordance with the firm's policies and procedures relating to information security.
  • Encourage a security conscious culture within the firm, by supporting and engaging with the firm's initiatives.
  • Report any concerns/issues relating to information security promptly and proactively.
  • Assist the firm in achieving its security objectives which are published in the Information Security Manual on Reach.

Responsibilities / Skills:

  • Experience of configuration of case management systems (ideally), covering all aspects of workflow creation, client and matter configuration, and user account permissions and administration.
  • Software development experience in any of the following languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, VB, or C#.
  • MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Developing, testing, and maintaining applications.
  • Some project management, business analysis, and 1st line experience would also be desirable.

  • A flexible individual with good planning skills and personal organisation.
  • An aptitude for problem solving with a logical approach to troubleshooting.
  • An accurate worker able to see tasks through to the end.
  • Professional and credible, with both technical and non-technical people.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, and a keen desire to learn.
