HSE Manager Job Description

Pioneering People is seeking a highly experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive health and safety strategy that aligns with our company values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver a 3-year health, safety, and environmental strategy
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify and minimize risks
  • Deliver H&S training as required
  • Develop and manage H&S operating procedures, COSHH assessments, and risk assessments
  • Develop and manage the company's first aiders program
  • Develop a site-wide health and well-being program
  • Advise senior managers on health, safety, and environmental best practices
  • Investigate accidents and ensure compliance with H&S regulations
  • Manage the monthly health and safety committee and ensure actions are implemented
  • Ensure 3rd-party permit to work and contractor guidance is strictly adhered to
  • Complete regular safety audits
  • Develop health and safety focus groups among production and warehouse employees
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and review a site health and safety training program
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a health and safety manager in a manufacturing site
  • Level 3 or above Health & Safety practitioner (e.g., NEBOSH general safety certificate)
  • Environmental qualification
  • Health and safety experience at a supervisory level
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
