Job Description

This Youth Care Worker role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team at Apple Orchard. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a caring and motivating environment for teenage boys, planning and preparing activities that meet their needs, and maintaining accurate records of their progress.

Main Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • To observe and assess young people's progress and keep accurate records of their achievements, behaviour and important events in their lives
  • To work with local authorities/placing authorities to ensure the care the young people receive is outstanding
  • To follow delegated tasks and handovers.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with teenage boys or challenging behaviour and hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle. A Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent is also required.
