Classroom Support Specialist

Dawley Brook Primary School is seeking a dedicated support specialist to join our inclusive team of children, staff, and governors in our Oak Tree SEND Resource Base.

We are an Ofsted-rated school with a highly inclusive culture where pupils with special education needs and/or disabilities (SEND) thrive. Our staff provide tailored resources and support for students with EHCPs, ensuring they succeed in their learning.

We are looking for a new member to support children with EHCPs within Oak Tree Class, working alongside our experienced SENDCo, Base Teachers, SEND HLTA, and teaching staff.
This role is for a L3 SEND Teaching Assistant (32.5 hours per week, term time only), 12 months fixed-term contract initially but may be extended given provision needs.
The successful candidate will have skills and knowledge of supporting learners with SEND in the classroom or specialist provision, proficiency in Makaton, and a commitment to ongoing development.
The salary for this position is around £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
