Job Description:

In this esteemed role, you will assume responsibility for providing expert and operational leadership to a large and complex network laboratory within North Midlands and Cheshire Pathology Service (NMCPS) Cellular Pathology Department.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and prioritize a complex workload with rapidly changing demands.
  • Provide effective operational leadership and management for the whole Cellular Pathology team in line with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Be part of a wider operational management team and be involved with major projects such as implementing digital pathology and the validation/verification of new supplier equipment.
  • Maintain UKAS accreditation, support the Trust's Human Tissue Authority Designated Individual by being the Persons Designated to ensure compliance with regulations and to support with regulatory visits.
