About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adolescent Support Worker to join our team at Coventry City Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people to remain at home, working closely with families to address complex and enduring needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide intensive support to young people aged 8-18 and their families, usually over a period of 6-12 weeks.
  • Assess problems, develop measurable goals, and help families acquire the skills necessary to achieve them.
  • Work closely with other agencies and local services to improve behaviours, relationships, confidence, aspiration, employability, living conditions, mental and physical health.
  • Take on a portfolio of cases, working directly with young people and families in their homes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be passionate about working with children, young people, and their families, with a reassuring presence and ability to work with families in their homes. You will also need to be a team player with a flexible approach, willing to work on a shift basis that includes evenings and weekends.
