At Bath & North East Somerset Council, we strive to improve lives by delivering exceptional services. Our purpose is rooted in the well-being of our residents, and our teams work tirelessly to make a positive impact.

We are seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our Family Support Team, working collaboratively with families to keep children at home wherever possible. As a specialist in safeguarding and quality, you will contribute to service development for vulnerable children, focusing on building relationships and promoting resilience.

This part-time role offers an exciting opportunity to work with dynamic teams, centred on therapeutic assessment and support. You will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise through extensive training opportunities, including Systemic Practice and Trauma-Informed Workshops.

We offer a stable leadership team, committed colleagues, and low rates of agency workers. You will enjoy regular supervision, group reflective sessions, and peer circles, ensuring strong relationships and support throughout your journey. Our benefits include relocation payments, laptop and iPhone provision, and access to Research in Practice.

This rewarding role requires passion, commitment, and motivation to support some of the most vulnerable families in our area. If you are passionate about collaborative work, family-centred approaches, and keeping children safe, we invite you to apply.

The estimated salary for this role is £38,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience. We welcome applications from qualified social workers with relevant experience in safeguarding children and/or working with children in care.
