About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Tutor to join our team at Fleet Education Services. As a Science Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting learners throughout the UK who require dedicated, in-person support to achieve academic success.

Our learners may present with complex learning requirements, including special educational needs (SEN), social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, and childhood trauma. We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment that enables our learners to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create engaging lesson plans and deliver tuition that inspires and teaches.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with guardians/teachers to ensure academic success.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner performance through our virtual learning platform.

Requirements
  • Must hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience.
  • Must live and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
  • A commitment to safeguarding.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH, and other complex needs.
