About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Shift Leader to join our team at Tesco. As a Shift Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store, providing excellent customer service, and leading a team of colleagues to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of colleagues to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales targets
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and visual merchandising
  • Develop and implement plans to improve customer satisfaction and sales performance
  • Recruit, train, and develop colleagues to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles
  • Monitor and control store expenses, including labor costs, inventory, and supplies
Requirements
  • Proven leadership and management experience, preferably in a retail environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with retail systems
