The News Stadt team is seeking a skilled individual to join our crew in responding to emergency situations like the recent paddle boarding incident off the coast of Weymouth.

Key Details:

  • A man and woman, aged 27 and 23, got into difficulty while paddle boarding approximately 1.1 miles off the coast.
  • The Weymouth RNLI All-weather lifeboat was launched to assist the pair.
  • The Coastguard helicopter was used to transfer them to the old Portland helicopter base due to rough weather conditions.

Warning: The strong easterly winds forecasted for the area made beaches along the south coast experience dangerous conditions, prompting the RNLI to issue a warning about the risks of sea-based activities.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for responding to emergency situations, working closely with the Coastguard and RNLI to ensure the safety of those in distress.
