Job Title: Deputy Director Estates

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director of Estates to join our team at Wycombe Abbey. As a key member of our Estates Department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Estates Manager in the day-to-day running of the department and leading the Facilities team to provide a safe and secure environment in the School.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Estates Manager in the day-to-day running of the Estates Department
  • Lead and manage the Facilities team to provide a safe and secure environment in the School
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Estates Department
  • Manage and maintain the School's buildings and grounds, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations
  • Develop and manage the Estates Department's budget and resources

Requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge of facilities management and repair
  • Excellent understanding of all legislation relating to estates, facilities, and building maintenance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to promote positive and healthy working relationships between all estates staff, external consultants, contractors, and the School community
  • Experience of finance and operations management is desirable

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience
  • A full-time, permanent contract with 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 52 weeks per year
