Home Standards Surveyor

We are excited to offer a Full Time opportunity as a Home Standards Surveyor with Stonewater. This role involves conducting property condition surveys to ensure all homes and communal areas are safe, warm and secure. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of property conditions, hazards, and repairs, and be able to communicate effectively with residents, housing management, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct property condition surveys to ensure all homes and communal areas are safe, warm and secure
- Collect and record data on property conditions, hazards, and repairs
- Liaise with residents, housing management, and other stakeholders to identify and record any hazards, safety concerns, and repairs
- Update Stonewater's information on property condition to assist in programming and compliance with the Decent Homes Standard
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An HNC level qualification in construction, housing, management, or property
- Proven knowledge of the Decent Homes Standard, component lifecycles, HHSRS Rating system, and domestic building construction methods and faults
- Strong knowledge of building components, common issues, hazards, and ability to diagnose and remedy defects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to communicate clearly and accurately with a wide range of internal and external customers
- Excellent administrative and IT skills, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Housing Management systems
The salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities, and a supportive and inclusive work environment.
