Educational Leadership Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and passionate history teacher to lead our department at Wayman Learning Trust, an outstanding secondary school in Hackney. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the history curriculum and a commitment to providing students with a high-quality education.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the history department
- Develop and implement a rigorous and engaging history curriculum that meets the needs of all students
- Teach history lessons to Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 students
- Support and develop other history teachers to achieve their full potential
- Represent the history department at school events and meetings
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in history or a related subject
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- At least 5 years of teaching experience, including experience of leading a department
Salary:
The salary for this role is approximately £50,000-£70,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
