We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Doncaster, a category B Prison located in Doncaster.

As a Mental Health Nurse, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team carrying out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options.

You will undertake medication rounds, assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences and may be distressed.

Our team provides outstanding evidence-based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalized and informed by what matters to them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive assessments and develop treatment options.
  • Undertake medication rounds and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences.
  • Provide outstanding evidence-based care to patients, seeking out and acting on their feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Mental Health Nurse.
  • Current NMC registration.
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
  • Experience of working with patients, face-to-face, who have complex mental health conditions.
  • Experience of psychosocial interventions, group work, and awareness of substance misuse.
