Job Title: Learning Assistant Professional

Location: Hackney, London

Estimated Salary: £40,500 - £45,900 per annum (£96-£108 per day)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Learning Assistant Professional to join our Key Stage 2 class in Hackney.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners who require additional support with their behaviour and learning needs. Our ideal candidate will be able to provide high-quality support to pupils, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Provide individualised support to pupils who require extra help with their behaviour and learning needs.
  2. Work closely with teachers to develop and implement Behaviour Management Plans.
  3. Support pupils with personal care routines, including toileting, washing and dressing.
  4. Assist pupils with mealtime routines, including feeding and hygiene.
  5. Participate in whole-class teaching activities and contribute to the creation of a positive classroom environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in education, preferably with experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils, parents and colleagues.
  • The ability to work as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the changing needs of the school.
  • A willingness to learn and develop your skills and knowledge, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
