Support Worker for SEN Students

We are seeking a highly skilled Support Worker to join our team at Tara Professional Recruitment Ltd. In this critical role, you will work closely with teaching staff and health professionals to ensure that students with autism and other special educational needs receive the support they require.
Job DescriptionThis role involves assisting students in interactive learning and promoting their personal development. You will work under the guidance of teaching staff and health professionals to develop and implement effective support plans tailored to each student's needs.
The successful candidate will have experience working with Special Educational Needs or in the care sector, and will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A motivated and solution-focused approach is essential, as well as the ability to meet the physical demands of the post.
Key Responsibilities- Assist students with autism and other special educational needs in interactive learning activities
- Develop and implement effective support plans in collaboration with teaching staff and health professionals
- Provide individualized support to students to promote their educational, personal, and social development
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in regular review meetings
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Previous experience working with Special Educational Needs or in the care sector
- Motivated and solution-focused approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the post
The following qualifications are highly desirable:
- NVQ level 2 Teaching Assistant or Level 2 in Health and Social Care
- Experience in working in an educational environment
- Makaton
- Moving & Handling trained
